Recordando "Margaritaville" de Jimmy Buffett

En esta oportunidad, decido rendirle homenaje a la canción "Margaritaville", interpretada por Jimmy Buffett, todo un clásico en la Florida. De hecho, su intérprete fija su residencia en ese estado desde hace mucho tiempo. 

 Quizás, muchos lectores de este blog no se identifiquen con la canción, debido a que pertenecen a una generación posterior, ó, quizás, no sea popular en sus países. Pero, en la Florida, se considera un himno para los amantes de la "buena vida", y claro, cerveza, cocteles, música y playa, y la mayoría de grupos musicales realizan "covers" de la canción, inspirando cocteles, libros, restaurantes. 

En Internet, se encuentran páginas sobre la canción, que incluyen datos anécdoticos, la inspiración, y su relación con la cultura popular. Lo cierto es que la canción hace referencia a un lugar "imaginario" donde la gente asiste para relajarse, tomarse unos tragos, escuchar música, y disipar sus problemas sentimentales. 

 La canción aparece por primera vez en las listas de popularidad en 1977, pero, ahora, en el 2014, sigue siendo tan vigente como en esos tiempos.

 Esa canción la escucho siempre que viajo a Miami, pero, interpretada por numerosos grupos musicales de la ciudad, y ya es casi, una petición "obligada," donde algunos intérpretes  se toman algunas "licencias" a la letra. 

En Youtube, he encontrado varios músicos aficionados que interpretan covers de la canción. Los dejo con el video de la canción original, y algunos "covers" que encontré en Youtube.
